NaNoWriMo and Oops
Nov. 15th, 2011 10:25 pmTUESDAY'S WORD COUNT (11/15): 1041
TOTAL WORD COUNT: 26274
So, there are two reasons for the abysmal progress on The Novel. One, which should garner me some bonus points, is that part of that word count is a song, which took a hell of a lot longer to write than just prose so *blows raspberry*.
Second, which gets me no bonus points, like at all (it may in fact count for negative points), is *covers face with hands* I wrote two thousand words on a totally different plot idea. *hangs head* I know, I know! That was a very silly thing to do, but I couldn't help it! It was this fantastic amazing idea, it was just going to be a note of the plot summary, and then it wouldn't stop flowing!
At least my muse let me get pretty far with The Novel before jumping up and down, conking me on the head with a T-ball bat, and yelling "HEY! I'VE GOT ANOTHER IDEA FOR YOU!!!"
But, and this is a big but, I am not going to let this new idea completely put me off The Novel. I'm going to set it aside and come back to it in December. Yep, *decisive nods*.

Introducing . . .
Apr. 15th, 2010 03:00 pmSo, it was either this or seriously considering seeing some trumped up, poor excuse of a psychologist wannabe who is being paid to listen to me whine about the injustice of being a poor college student, still living with her parents, and working on an English major with an emphasis in Creative Writing. Not that I have anything against psychologists. I'm sure that they are all lovely people.
Quick aside, yes I know that an English major is not really conducive to finding a job quickly after graduation, but still.
So, be prepared for rants about wayward Muses, the general barrenness of my bank accounts, and a creative thesis that completely refuses to obey me.
